Kay started her career in tax with the ‘Inland Revenue’ before moving into practice in 1987. Kay spent nine years living and working in the Highlands of Scotland where her clients ranged from wealthy landowners with vast sporting estates to premier league football clubs. On moving back to the South of England Kay spent nine years at BDO in London where her clients included ultra high net worth individuals and private equity executives. Kay was a founder member of the BDO Sportsman and Entertainers Group and takes a keen interest in the taxation of individuals in these industries.
Kay’s focus is on tax planning for high net worth clients with particular focus on Inheritance Tax and will planning. Kay also advises offshore trustees, settlors and beneficiaries on their UK tax filing obligations.
Kay manages the private client team in Canterbury and is Editor of the firms monthly Tax Newsletter.

When not in the office Kay likes to spend her time outdoors. Kay is a keen walker and also runs regularly to keep fit. She also enjoys playing tennis and squash and goes skiing and mountain biking when time permits. Kay is an avid supporter of grass roots football and holds the post of Treasurer at her local youth football club.
