We are sorry to announce that Janet Fautley, longstanding colleague and one of the firm’s Audit and Technical Partners, passed away suddenly on Tuesday 24th September.

Andrew Griggs, Senior Partner said:

“I know that clients and professional contacts of Janet’s will be as shocked as her many colleagues at the devasting news of Janet’s unexpected passing. Our thoughts are very much with Janet’s family.
Janet will be hugely missed as a partner, an expert, a friend and a colleague.”

Richard Spofforth, former Spofforths Managing Partner said: “Janet was a key part of Spofforths, and then Kreston Reeves, for more than 22 years, where she worked tirelessly and with good humour throughout, providing advice and support at the highest level. Janet had that magic combination of ‘practical professionalism’ which so many inside and outside the firm sought.”

As well as being a highly regarded and respected member of the firm Janet was, quite simply, an extremely talented person with whom it was a pleasure to work.

Janet also played an active part in our professional community, serving as a committee member for the ICAEW South East. We will all miss her.

Janet’s family has set up a JustGiving page in her memory. If you would like to make a donation, please click here.
