Emma Chesson, Head of Online Services, was named Virgin StartUp member of the month through her work with Helen Martin, owner of Nourish Kitchen.

Emma, who is a Virgin StartUp Mentor, supports new entrepreneurs by going above and beyond to help them through their first year.

Virgin StartUp distribute government-backed start up loans to entrepreneurs launching or growing a business that's under two years old. Every entrepreneur who receives a start up loan receives their own mentor.

Emma, who’s been a Virgin StartUp Mentor for 12 months, commented: “When I got the opportunity to be a StartUp Mentor I jumped at the chance. It gives me a real buzz to assist businesses – especially ones in the early years of their life - because no matter how successful you are an experienced businessperson who simply wants to help is invaluable.

“Utilising FUTRLI reporting really helped add clarity to how Nourish Kitchen was performing, and allowed online to meet advisory, enabling me to assist in their fast growth plans. I’m excited to continue to support Helen and her team and look forward to the future”.
