The EFA have now released further details regarding the capital funding to be provided to MATs in the future. This will apply to those MATs with a minimum of 5 academies and more than 3,000 pupils.

These MATs will receive a formulaic allocation to deploy strategically across their estate to address priority maintenance and expansion needs. For 2015 to 2016 the allocations will go through a rigorous quality assurance process before being announced. Allocations will be confirmed in April 2015, this will take into account any academies that have moved between trusts, with payments made in equal instalments from May 2015. Therefore the monitoring of cashflows and planning the use of funding will be key.

The EFA’s dedicated page will continue to be updated in the future and can be found here.
