We have launched our popular Finance Focus breakfast briefing, with our last event taking place in Kent this spring.

This year’s event will aim to provide incisive advice and a practical set of actions for the coming financial year for those involved in running businesses in the two regions – whatever our status in, or out, or the EU.

Designed for company directors, owners and financial managers, the 2019 Finance Focus briefing will take place at Mercure Maidstone hotel on Wednesday 8 May with the breakfast sessions seeking to answer the question, “So what now?”, as the presenters provide practical tips on how UK businesses can plan ahead amid the uncertainty of Brexit negotiations.

The event will focus on covering how businesses can respond to the current economic and political landscape to make the best of the opportunities. In the Kent event we are pleased to welcome guest speaker Jonathan Neame, Chief Executive, Shepherd Neame who will draw on his almost 30-year experience at the helm of Britain’s oldest operational brewer to highlight the actions businesses can take in the year ahead.

Our corporate finance and tax teams will look at the funding and fiscal environments we can take advantage of.

The event will conclude with a Q&A panel session during which expert panellists will share practical takeaways which attendees can apply when planning for their business.

Tim Levey, Partner and Head of Business Advisory comments, “Ahead of this year’s event we find ourselves in an unprecedented position with opposing views trying to predict the months and years ahead for the UK economy. Clarity is in short supply and some businesses are struggling to navigate a way forward.

Companies can either mark time or use the uncertainty to their advantage. At Finance Focus we will share the opportunities available to facilitate business growth and development and enable those attending to plan decisively”.

The event starts at 8am and finishes at 10.30am and will end with a Q&A panel session and opportunity to network. To book your place at the Kent event click here, or us on +44 (0)330 124 1399.

The briefings will be supplemented by a 45 minute webinar on ‘Financial Reporting and the future of audit’ on Thursday 16 May for those requiring a more in-depth update on financial reporting and compliance issues. Details will be advertised shortly and in the meantime you can register your interest to attend by emailing us here.
