Further information
Having worked as a general practitioner for nearly 30 years, Mark has a wide portfolio of clients and looks after many family businesses, trusts and charities. He provides SMEs with sound management advice and handles audit work, with a particular interest in helping professional practices grow.
Mark also has many charity sector clients as well as acting as a Charity Trustee and Treasurer himself, so he is well aware of the issues that trustees face on a day-to-day basis. He works closely with charity clients to help them through the changing economic and regulatory climate.
Mark was President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants In England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2012/13. His focus for the period in office was on trust in the profession, simplification of accounts, and business deregulation and the position gave him access to the highest levels in the Treasury and HMRC. Mark has held a number of influential posts within and outside the Institute, including service on the Takeover Panel, and the Department of Business Innovation and Skills Deregulatory Strategy Group.
Mark was the High Sheriff of West Sussex in 2016/17.
