Phil joined the firm in 2000 after taking A-levels at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School. Phil has significant experience in audit and governance complying with latest legislation, particularly in the education, not-for-profit and manufacturing sectors.
He is a regular contributor to our academies webpage with his topical points of interest and is extremely active on the social media platforms Twitter and LinkedIn where you will often find Phil engaging in topical stories across the not for profit and education sectors. Phil is often asked to provide commentary to Schools Week and the Times Education Supplement (TES). In addition, he is a local governor of a primary school which joined a multi-academy trust in 2018.
Phil is also part of the firms’ wellbeing project team and successfully helped to launch this initiative in 2019. Phil firmly believes that having a good wellbeing ethos is important to any business.
Thanks to his fundraising efforts, Phil was awarded the honour of being a London 2012 Torch Bearer during the Torch Relay in July 2012.
In his spare time Phil enjoys football, which includes watching his local team Gillingham and persuading his wife to allow him to watch a match when they are visiting other countries. He is also a keen runner, having completed 4 marathons to date including 2 in one week! He also enjoys attending music festivals and eating out with friends.
