The Kreston Reeves and Kent Messenger Group’s list of the 100 fastest growing businesses in Kent have now been announced.
The Sustainable Growth 100 celebrates the achievements of Kent’s most successful businesses over the past 12 months. This list looks not just to growth in the past 12 months, but to sustainable growth over longer periods of time, and to businesses that deliver prosperity to themselves and to the communities in which they work.
Compiled by Kreston Reeves and the Kent Messenger Group, the Sustainable Growth 100 shows that despite the many challenges businesses have faced over the past two years, the engines of the county’s economy are in good shape and on a firm financial footing.
The Sustainable Growth 100 follows our ‘Shaping your future’ report that points to businesses being optimistic for their future.
Rob Sellers, a Partner in the Audit and Assurance team told the Kent Messenger that “The purpose of the list is to identify the most financially sustainable 100 fastest growing companies in Kent.
“It is a list of those companies that have generated growth in profits which have been retained in the business to ensure they remain financially sustainable in an uncertain economic environment protecting their business and their employees.”
Topping this year’s list is the Folkestone-based Wood Finishes Direct, a specialist wood finishing business supplying the DIY and building trade. With 150 employees, the business has seen growth exceeding 1,600% over the last four years.
It is closely followed by Gallagher Group, one of the South East’s leading building, civil engineering, aggregates and property development companies. Headquartered in Aylesford and with more than 300 staff, Gallagher Group has grown by over 1,422% over the last four years.
Our congratulations go to all 100 businesses making the inaugural Sustainable Growth 100.
