Our London office

Located in the London borough of Hackney, Shoreditch boasts a rich heritage, having transformed from an industrial area to a hub of creativity and innovation.

Once known as one of the poorest areas in East London, the name ‘Shoreditch’ is believed to derive from the Old English term “Soersditch”, meaning “Sewer’s Ditch”. This neighbourhood also plays a significant role in English theatre history; the first two London theatres, The Theatre and The Curtain Theatre were built in Shoreditch, with William Shakespeare himself supposedly performing some of his most famous plays at these venues in the late 1590s.

Shoreditch is now popular for its creative and diverse identity, offering gigs, theatre, and art alongside unique dining experiences and eccentric bars. Home to the infamous Brick Lane, with connections to Jack the Ripper, the street now lends itself to world-famous vintage markets, food-halls and is renowned for its curry houses. This tradition dates back to the 1960s, when the first significant wave of South Asian immigrants settled in Britain.

Partner in Audit & Assurance Steve Moss is our London office partner and is an ambassador for wellbeing and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in London. Now serving as a community representative for Kreston Reeves, he dedicates himself to advocating for vital causes, spearheading fundraising efforts, and facilitating volunteer initiatives firm-wide.
