This year, a team of 9 are excited to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on behalf of the Kreston Reeves Foundation.
On Saturday 13 April 2024, they will be attempting the circular route of 24 miles taking on the 3 peaks in the Yorkshire Dale of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres). They’re expecting it to take around 12 hours, starting at 5:30am to ensure that they have enough daylight.
The team, from across the firm, that will be tackling this challenge is:
Caitlin Powell, Restructuring Manager
Christopher Gregory, IT trainer
Colin Laidlaw, VAT Director
Jeff Rolle, Private Client Tax Senior Manager
Naomi Varty, HR and Payroll adviser
Every year each of our offices choose a local Charity to support that will benefit from the fundraising. We will therefore be fundraising for the following charities, and using their causes as motivation to get the team across the finishing line:
Kent MS Therapy Centre – Canterbury office charity
Aims to radically improve the lives of those with Multiple Sclerosis, their families and those who care for them, by providing a range of therapies and support services.
Carers’ Support East Kent – Discovery Park office charity
A charity that provides Carers with the information and support they need. Their services are available to people looking after a relative or friend, who due to physical or mental illness, age related difficulties, disability or an addiction, cannot manage without their support.
Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex – Chatham office charity
Provides world-class, fast response, emergency medical care every hour of every day. They envision a society where no one dies following sudden, preventable unexpected trauma or medical emergency.
The Felix Project – London office charity
Collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold, delivering it to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society. They believe in a vision where no-one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
Jigsaw South East – Horsham office charity
Offers grief support to children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant family member through illness, accident, suicide or murder.
Cancerwise – Chichester office charity
Offers support and information to cancer patients, their families and carers in the West Sussex and East Hampshire area. They provide space to support the mind, body, spirit and emotional health through and beyond cancer.
Whoopsadaisy – Brighton office charity
A charity based in Preston Park, supporting children with disabilities and their families from Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area.
The funds raised will be distributed by the Kreston Reeves Foundation (registered charity no. 1180402).
