Dan is a Chartered Accountant and ESG advisor who helps organisations turn sustainability goals into practical, achievable action. Blending financial and governance expertise with hands on climate experience, he supports organisations to understand their environmental impact, set credible pathways to reduction and build sustainability into everyday decision making.

Having trained and worked in audit, Dan brings a deep understanding of financial systems, risk, assurance and governance. This grounding enables him to translate complex sustainability expectations into clear, workable steps that fit seamlessly into existing organisational processes.

Delivering ESG advisory services

He works across sectors on carbon footprint reporting, climate action plans, climate related disclosures and wider ESG strategy and translates technical standards into clear, workable steps for leadership teams, boards and operational staff. His experience includes designing carbon reduction pathways, developing climate metrics, shaping governance structures, and supporting organisations to report with clarity and confidence.

Global ESG support

Dan contributes to global ESG guidance through his role on Kreston Global’s ESG advisory board, staying close to evolving sustainability reporting requirements and helping firms and their clients prepare for future expectations.

At Kreston Reeves, he co leads the firm’s Climate Action agenda, playing a key role in achieving carbon neutral status and delivering the firm’s first Impact Report. He continues to guide the firm’s broader ESG priorities through his position on the ESG management team.

ESG achievements and awards

Alongside his advisory work, Dan is a Trustee of the national charity Ramblers, bringing his sustainability and finance expertise into strategic planning. An ICAEW Climate Champion and one of Accountancy Age’s Top 35 Under 35, he regularly speaks at events to help organisations strengthen climate governance and take meaningful steps on their sustainability journey.

Personal interests:

Dan has a passion for being outside and seeing what the world has to offer. He is a keen hiker with a particular interest in climbing mountains and enjoying long walks with his wife and dog. Dan enjoys running but admits that he tends to be a fair-weather runner.

From time-to-time Dan will attempt to enjoy watching the other love in his life, Tottenham Hotspur.
