Dan is a Chartered Accountant who joined the firm through its apprenticeship scheme after leaving school. He began his career working with charity and not-for-profit clients, specialising in audit.

Currently, Dan serves as an ESG Advisor, leading a team that develops services and advises clients on their Environmental, Social, and Governance journeys. His passion for ESG is driven by his work with entities committed to giving back to the community and creating a sustainable future.

Dan’s areas of expertise include:

• Supporting businesses in calculating their carbon emissions and taking realistic steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
• Encouraging a collaborative approach amongst stakeholders within a business to bring together thoughts and create a collective strategy to achieving a more sustainable future.
• Taking a holistic approach to sustainable business planning, integrating both sustainability and financial strategy.
• Helping businesses understand ESG risks and opportunities.

Dan has co-led the Climate Action initiative for several years, leading the firm to become carbon neutral and creating the Kreston Reeves Impact Report.

Dan’s achievements include:

• Ranked Number 10 in the 2022 Accountancy Age Top 35 Under 35.
• Recognised as an ICAEW Climate Champion.

In addition to his professional role, Dan serves as a Trustee of the national charity, Ramblers. He applies lessons from his trusteeship to his clients, contributing to strategy development, governance changes, and serving on the Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee.

Personal interests:

Dan has a passion for being outside and seeing what the world has to offer. He is a keen hiker with a particular interest in climbing mountains and enjoying long walks with his partner and dog. Dan enjoys running but admits that he tends to be a fair-weather runner.

From time-to-time Dan will attempt to enjoy watching the other love in his life, Tottenham Hotspur.
