Why the King’s Awards matter

Winning a King’s Award is far more than a title, it’s a strategic springboard. Previous recipients consistently report:

  • Royal endorsement for five years, a hallmark recognised worldwide
  • Stronger credibility with customers, partners and investors
  • Major media and PR opportunities that lift your brand profile
  • Higher staff engagement and recruitment appeal
  • An invitation to a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by His Majesty in 2027

For many, the Award becomes a turning point, unlocking new markets, accelerating growth and opening doors that would otherwise take years to reach.

Who can apply?

The Awards are open to a wide range of UKbased organisations, including charities and nonprofits, provided they can demonstrate:

  • A UK base and at least two fulltime employees
  • A strong HMRC compliance record
  • Responsible, ethical and sustainable business practices
  • Clear evidence of exceptional performance in a relevant category

Applications are free, completed online, and you can enter more than one category.

The four award categories

You can apply to more than one category. Choose the areas where your organisation truly excels from the following categories:

1. Innovation – commercially successful products, services or solutions

2. International trade – sustained and measurable export growth

3. Sustainable development – longterm environmental and social impact

4. Promoting opportunity (Social mobility) – improving access to skills, training and employment

Now is the time to prepare

With applications for the 2027 Awards opening on 6 May 2026, early preparation is key. If your organisation is bold, ambitious and ready to be recognised on the national and global stage, this could be your moment to stand out. You can find out more details about the awards here.
