You in Two: Meet Jodie Jones

In Episode Eleven, we spotlight Forensic and Business Valuations Senior Manager Jodie Jones who is based in our Canterbury office! Passionate about nurturing the next generation at Kreston Reeves, Jodie balances tackling fraud with a love for equality, environmental progress, and the occasional daydream about dinosaurs and wizardry.

Q: Introduce yourself!

A: I’m Jodie Jones. I work in our Canterbury office, and I’m a senior manager within our Forensic Accounting and Business Valuations Department.

Q: What do you hope to contribute to the future of Kreston Reeves?

A: I really enjoy training and seeing my staff kind of develop around me. So bringing up the next generation is how I see myself contributing to Kreston Reeves.

Q: What’s your favourite aspect of the company culture at Kreston Reeves?

A: I love the people. I think our drive for equality and better environmental standards is a real win for me.

Q: How do you approach continuous learning and professional development?

A: The usual, really. So courses, webinars, that sort of thing. Keeping an eye out for any interesting articles.

Q: Can you describe a time when you had to adapt quickly to a new situation or environment?

A: In the world of forensics, we do have to adapt fairly quickly. We might get phoned up and, you know, told that they think there’s a fraud that we need to go and investigate. So kind of getting in that business as quickly as possible to ensure their assets are safeguarded is a challenge, but something we need to, you know, move on very quickly.

Q: If you could time travel, what time period would you visit?

A: I quite like dinosaurs. I’m really a child inside. But I don’t think that would be a suitable place to go to. So probably something in the future, maybe a couple of hundred years in the future to see what the world looks like.

Q: If you could trade lives with any fictional character for the day, who would it be?

A: Maybe Gandalf for a day, do some wizardry.

Q: What’s a book or movie that has significantly influenced your life?

A: I’m a big fan of Tarantino films, although I wouldn’t really say that they’ve massively influenced my life. Probably a good job that they haven’t, to be fair.

Q: If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?

A: I love capybaras. I would absolutely love to have a capybara.
