We sponsor ‘My life with Winston’ at Canterbury Festival
Canterbury Festival: Kent’s International Arts Festival returns this month for two weeks of music, performance, family events, talks, science and more! This year we have the pleasure of sponsoring one of the premier performances ‘Mrs Churchill – My Life with Winston’, a sensitive and informative portrayal of Clementine Churchill.
For over 35 years, Canterbury Festival has been bringing thought-provoking talks, beautiful music, and overall great family activities to the historic city. The all-year-round programme engages with over 3,000 people in creative projects, workshops, and other stimulating events.
We are delighted to be sponsoring this emotive, yet progressive, performance, ‘Mrs Churchill – My Life with Winston’. Winston Churchill was an embodiment of strength, stubbornness, and leadership, displayed throughout his parliamentary career and most significantly during the Second World War. However, what role did his wife play in his life?
This act, written by Kit Hunter, delves into the importance of Clementine Churchill throughout her husband’s life and career. Liz Grand stars in this complex and enlightening portrayal of Clementine Churchill – answering questions about this infamous pair’s relationship dynamics and the extent of her influence over him.
