Our annual Student of the Year award celebrates rising stars whose exceptional performance and contribution have truly stood out.
This year, we’re delighted to congratulate Jack Attwood on being named our 2025 winner. We also extend our warm congratulations to runners up Georgia Williams and Toby Lindup for their impressive achievements and dedication.
Created in 2019 in loving memory of our colleague Janet Fautley, a champion of continuous learning and excellence, this award honours the remarkable apprenticeship talent within our firm. Each year, our judging panel considers a wide range of factors, including exam performance, on the job impact, contributions to the wider firm, alignment with our values, and supporting feedback.
Jack joined our audit team in 2023 as a recent graduate. During his time at the firm, he has progressed to the role of Audit Semi-Senior, becoming a founding committee member of the Creative, Media and Technology sector team and recently getting involved as an SME for climate related risk.
On receiving this award, Jack commented: “I am really pleased to have received this award. I have learned a lot over the last year and am keen to continue building on that progress. The support I’ve received from the firm and from individuals throughout the year has been invaluable, and I am extremely grateful.”
Reflecting on this year’s award, Karen Thompson, Head of Learning and Development, said: “Congratulations to Jack, Georgia and Toby for their outstanding efforts this year. We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved and the positive impact they make at Kreston Reeves. We’re excited to continue championing their growth as they move forward in their training and careers.”
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, these awards highlight the positive impact structured apprenticeship programmes have in nurturing and accelerating talent, and we’re proud to be one of the few accredited Employer Training Providers in our sector. Through our annual apprenticeship programme, we support and mentor the next generation of accountants, developing future leaders across business, tax, and wealth management remains central to who we are.
We look forward to welcoming our newest cohort of apprentices in September as they begin their journey with us.
