2020 marks an incredible seventh consecutive year that our firm has been recognised by Citywire’s New Model Adviser publication who have described us as “a household name in the advice industry.”
We were praised for our client engagement, in particular our proactive contact when recognising many may be concerned with the effect that the pandemic and lockdown restrictions may have on their portfolios. Existing agile working policies and use of technology including virtual meeting software and our secure, online client portal for sharing information and documents meant business continuity could be maintained.
Our refreshed and increased online presence was also noted with the launch of a new website in November 2019, use of social media and promotion of industry standards such as the Pension Transfer Gold Standard to which we voluntarily subscribe to.
There was a trend within the majority of firms included in the top 100 listing where many have started offering dedicated solutions to investors wishing to generate a return from investments that are selected and managed in a more socially responsible way, with a focus on sustainability. Kreston Reeves Financial Planning has been offering sustainable investment portfolios for a number of years which accompanies our own green initiatives of actively monitoring and reducing our own carbon footprint and the wider Kreston Reeves firm pledging to become carbon neutral by the end of 2021.
David Hurst, Managing Director comments; “It is fantastic to receive this continued recognition which is a result of the whole teams’ dedication, ability to look ahead, adapt and always putting our clients first”.
New Model Adviser is an industry leading publication by Citywire which looks for evidence of well-qualified staff, robust investment propositions, good use of technology, willingness to share best practice, client education, recruitment and contribution to professional standards to name just a few factors in the methodology used when selecting their top 100. A weighting system is then used to make sure the largest and smallest firms are compared fairly.
We eagerly await the announcement of the national and regional finalists for IFA firm of the year in early 2021.
