We have strengthened our Corporate Tax team with a senior appointment and two promotions.
Zhen Bailey joined the firm as Senior Manager on 10 May, with Sam Jones promoted to Director and Mohammed Mujtaba to Senior Manager effective from 1 April.
Zhen joined us from business advisors The Briars Group. She brings to the firm considerable expertise in helping ambitious and entrepreneurial international businesses relocate to and grow in the UK.
She works across a number of industry sectors with particular strengths in the IT, life sciences and management consultancy sectors, and across all areas of Corporate Tax with specific interests in EIS investment, R&D tax credits, expatriate tax and employment taxes. Zhen regularly works alongside venture capital and private equity investors.
Commenting on her appointment, Zhen said: “Businesses and entrepreneurs relocating to the UK want to ‘land and expand’. The services we provide help to make that happen. I am thrilled to be joining the team and look forward to building our practice further.”
At the same time, we announce the promotions of Sam Jones promoted to Director and Mohammed Mujtaba to Senior Manager.
Sam joined us in 2003 and focuses on all aspects of tax for owner-managed businesses. Mohammed joined the firm in 2019 and focuses on cross border tax for international businesses.
Daniel Grainge, Partner and Head of Tax said: “The demand for guidance and support on UK tax from businesses and their owners is growing, and with it our team. Zhen will be a real asset to our clients and to the firm and we look forward to the contribution she will bring to clients. I would also like to extend the firm’s congratulations to Sam and Mohammed on their well-deserved promotions.”
