Three of our brave employees from Canterbury have taken part in a charity skydive for one of our Charities of the Year, The Pilgrims Hospice on Saturday 30 November 2019, raising over £1,500 in the process.
The trio who braved a sunny but chilly early morning jump are:
Taking off from Headcorn Airfield, the team were partnered with tandem instructors and
began a 15-minute flight to climb to 12,000ft. With stunning and clear views of the North Kent Coast and to the South beaches of Kent, the trio jumped.
Des Sudworth comments: “The idea of throwing oneself out of a perfectly functioning plane at 12,000ft may not appeal to everyone, but the team at Headcorn couldn’t have been better and by the time the door opened and the ice cold air blasted into the Cessna the adrenaline was flowing and we were good to go. Of course, any moments of hesitation were eliminated immediately when you focus on why you’re jumping, to support the hugely valuable work carried out by The Pilgrims Hospice.”
Donations can still be made on the team’s fundraising page.
