We are pleased to announce that we have once again achieved certification in both Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, reaffirming our commitment to protecting the information our clients and colleagues trust us with.
Cyber Essentials is the UK Government-backed scheme, overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), that helps organisations defend against the most common cyber-attacks. Cyber Essentials is awarded based on an independently verified self-assessment, with Cyber Essentials Plus going even further, with a hands-on technical audit of our systems carried out by external cyber security specialists.
Independently tested
We renew both certifications every year, because cyber threats never stand still. Recertifying confirms that our security controls, from our IT systems to our day-to-day procedures, continue to meet the scheme’s requirements.
It also shows that those controls don’t just exist on paper. With Cyber Essentials Plus, they have been independently tested by external specialists and stand up to scrutiny.
Richard Spofforth, Managing Partner, commented:
“Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus again is a real credit to our IT and compliance teams. Our clients trust us with some of their most sensitive financial and personal information, and protecting it is fundamental to how we work. As we continue to grow, keeping security at the heart of everything we do remains a priority. Everyone at Kreston Reeves plays a part in that, from completing regular cyber training to staying alert day to day, and I’d like to thank all our colleagues for the care they take.”
Andrew Leitch, Senior infrastructure architect, added:
“Cyber security is never a finished job. Threats keep evolving, and we will continue to invest in our systems, training and processes so that our clients can keep working with us with complete confidence.”
