Kent Community Foundation (KCF) is part of a national network of 46 Community Foundations committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged.tion is an independent charitable foundation designed to promote philanthropy that will benefit the lives of people in Kent.
KCF helps generous individuals, families, organisations, trusts and foundations establish and administer their own charitable funds to support the causes that mean the most to them in Kent and Medway.
KCF make giving easy by using their local expertise and network of contacts to put local philanthropists in touch with fantastic local charities operating below the radar.
Established in May 2001, the Foundation has distributed over £34 million in grants and now provides financial support to over 500 charities and deserving causes throughout the county each year - particularly small, local charities, where a modest sum of money can make a huge difference. KCF has established an Endowment Fund of over £22 million which will benefit Kent and Medway communities for generations to come.
Josephine McCartney, Chief Executive of Kent Community Foundation explained: “We can shoulder the burden of all the administration a fund requires, including handling Gift Aid reclaims and accounting. We review, monitor and evaluate diligently on behalf of our donors so they have full confidence in our grant-making.”
“Specialist charity advice and accounting support is incredibly important to us and we are impressed with Kreston Reeves’ ability to provide that advice promptly. We were keen to work with a firm that was well established in Kent and supportive of the local community. The depth of Kreston Reeves’ offering to clients in the charity sector is second-to-none.”
