In December 2025, the Kreston Reeves Foundation donated £12,000 to two leading air ambulance charities, providing vital support for the lifesaving services they deliver across London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

Across the UK, an average of 134 missions take place each day, costing approximately £4,165 each. They are almost entirely funded via donations, and we hope that our contribution will make a real difference to someone’s life.

London’s Air Ambulance Charity

London’s Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced trauma service for the capital’s 10 million residents, workers, and visitors. Its helicopter operates from early morning until sunset, with rapid response cars covering the city overnight. Each mission works closely with London’s emergency services and major trauma centres deploying highly trained trauma doctors and paramedics capable of performing complex, lifesaving procedures at the scene of major incidents. Despite its essential role, the service relies heavily on public donations to maintain its aircraft, train clinicians, and continue pioneering innovations in trauma care. With more than 50,000 patients treated since its inception, it remains a vital lifeline for the city.

Jennie Chmura, Senior Corporate Development Manager, from London’s Air Ambulance Charity said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Kreston Reeves Foundation for making such a meaningful donation of £6,000 to London’s Air Ambulance Charity. We would like to thank everyone at the foundation and all Kreston Reeves colleagues for their kind and generous support. Thanks to you, we can continue to respond 24/7, 365 days a year, bringing hope to every emergency.

Our helipad base is less than a mile from the Kreston Reeves London office and we’re dispatched from there to reach a critically injured patient’s side, whenever they need us. With this donation, you’ve made a tangible difference to your immediate community. As a charity we are reliant on the support of the public and organisations like Kreston Reeves, thanks to you we can be there for London today, tomorrow and always.”

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS)

Similarly, Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) deploys an around the clock Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), responding to critical incidents across its 7,390km² region. Its specialist teams of doctors and critical care paramedics deliver advanced interventions normally found only in a hospital setting, including emergency anaesthesia, blood transfusions, and even openheart surgery at the roadside. By bringing this expertise directly to patients, KSS plays a crucial role in improving survival rates when every moment is critical.

Dan Knight, Head of Trusts and Foundations, said: “Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is an independent charity at the forefront of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). Every day, people across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex face life-threatening emergencies. Amazing gifts like the £6,000 donated by the Kreston Reeves Foundation mean that when every second counts, our specialist doctors and paramedics are able to bring hospital-level care straight to the scene. From open-heart surgery to blood transfusions or emergency anaesthetics; donations like this enable our team to give patients the best possible chance of surviving the most serious injuries and illnesses.

Sarah Ediss, Partner and Trustee of the Kreston Reeves Foundation said: “Supporting both Air Ambulance charities is a moment of real pride for us. Their lifesaving work aids communities every day, and being able to contribute to that mission is something we value deeply here at Kreston Reeves.”

Our donation will support both organisations in maintaining their specialist teams, equipment, and rapid response capabilities. As charitable services that rely heavily on public and corporate support with, contributions like this play a significant role in ensuring they can continue delivering worldclass emergency care to those who need it most.
