Our annual crystal maze challenge!

June saw the return of our annual Kreston Reeves summer event, the ‘crystal maze challenge’, organised by our ‘Good health and wellbeing’ team. Over 110 people from across our firm came together for some friendly competition, team building and to raise some money for our nominated charities.

The event took place at Sevenoaks Rugby Club with activities designed to test our speed, mental acuity and teamwork. Activities ranged from a traditional dance off to break the ice, mental arithmetic puzzles, to tandem stilt walking. They required everyone in each team to work together with the aim of gathering crystals to come out on top. This year we added two new events, volleyball and the eagerly anticipated human version of the popular board game, Hungry Hippos! As with all our events we try to make them as inclusive as possible, so team members could decide whether to support their team or participate in challenges.

Ceri Cook, Accounts Director and our SDG ‘good health and wellbeing’ lead, expressed: “Our summer event is more than just a day of friendly competition, it’s an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the spirit of teamwork that drives our success every day. Events like this help us strengthen relationships across teams and offices and remind us that when we support one another, we all move forward together. We also used this event as an opportunity to raise over £400 for our nominated charities.”

The competition closed with each team taking their turn inside the inflatable crystal maze to gather the most golden tickets.

Nick and friends: a team from the Brighton office.

Reigning champs: a team from our Discovery Park office.
