Patrick Cantellow chairs National Apprenticeship Awards

Patrick Cantellow, a former apprentice and now Digital Marketing Executive at Kreston Reeves, has co-hosted the highly prestigious South East National Apprenticeship Awards.

The Awards, held on 12 September in Guildford, showcase the diverse and growing range of industry sectors that tap into the apprentice talent pool, awarding employers and apprentices who ‘blaze their own trail’ alongside individuals with a passion for and who champion apprenticeships. Regional finalists then progress to the national award finals later in the year.

Patrick started his career as an apprentice in a marketing agency before joining Kreston Reeves as a Digital Marketing Executive in June 2019. He is Chair of Youth Employment UK, a body dedicated to tackling youth unemployment, and Kent and East Sussex Vice Chair of the South East Young Apprentice Ambassador Network, helping promote the role of apprentices and influencing government policy.

We have a long tradition of supporting apprentices, being just one of three accountancy firms to hold ‘Employee Training Provider’ status for its graduate and non-graduate training programme.

Patrick said: “It was a real honour and privilege to host these awards and to celebrate the achievements of my fellow apprentices and their employers. I started my career as an apprentice and now studying for a degree equivalent qualification. I hope my own story – and hosting these awards – will help inspire others to choose the apprenticeship route.”
