We have published our financial accounts and have reported strong growth across the firm.
The firm’s accounts for the financial (53 week) year ending 31 May 2018 reports an 11% increase in turnover. Revenue for the financial year was £37.38m up from £33.78m in 2017, with profits at £10.1m up from £8.7m.
We have more than 50 partners and over 550 staff across our nine offices in London, Kent and Sussex. Clients of the firm include successful and fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses together with not for profit organisations and wealthy individuals and families.
Nigel Fright, Managing Partner said: “We continue to build on and expand our firm, with a strong team, depth and breadth of services with sector expertise and excellent geographical reach. We are greatly encouraged by our continued growth and the opportunities ahead, particularly from international businesses seeking to invest and do business in the UK.
“We continue to make significant investment in our people increasing the allocation of profits into our staff bonus scheme, in the role we play in our local communities, and in technology creating a firm that will continue to meet the needs of its clients in future years.”
The strong financial growth was complemented by a number of key hires across the firm, including the merger with corporate finance boutique SamCorp.
The firm has also created its own charitable foundation which will provide a focal point for the firm’s many charitable activities. It will be run by the firm’s employees for employees, looking to raise funds for their choice of local and national causes.
In 2017/18, our partners and staff raised over £10,000 for a number of charities, including Martha Trust, Porchlight, Caring for Connor, Age UK Medway, Chestnut Tree House, St Barnabas House, Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance, Mind, Children with Cancer Fund, Rocking Horse, and St Luke’s Community Centre.
The firm’s achievements were recognised in September by the wider accountancy profession, being named the UK’s best large accountancy practice in September in the prestigious annual Accounting Excellence Practice Awards.
