The Disability Confident scheme is about creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.

The scheme is designed as a continuous learning journey, encouraging employers to evolve and improve with every step.  It was developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to make it rigorous but easily accessible.

By joining the scheme, we’ve committed to:

  • Making our recruitment process inclusive and accessible, and supportive of people with disabilities or long-term health conditions.
  • Advertising roles widely to reach diverse talent, using clear inclusive language and avoiding ableist phrases, highlighting flexible/hybrid working, inviting reasonable adjustments.
  • Offering interviews to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria.
  • Ensuring online systems are accessible and offering alternative formats.
  • Using criteria-based shortlisting to help remove bias.
  • Supporting employees with disabilities to grow and develop.

You can read more about the scheme here.

This supports our purpose and ongoing commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion

ensuring that everyone can utilise their skills, talents and perspectives to succeed.

We are also committed to supporting employees, making sure all new starters are asked if they need any workplace adjustments and that they can request adjustments at any time via their people manager or by contacting our people team.

It’s a privilege to be part of a firm with a commitment to creating a workplace where everyone’s talent is recognised, supported, and celebrated.”

Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone has what they need to succeed, and where conversations about adjustments are handled openly, respectfully, and confidentially.
