Ben joined Kreston Reeves in February 2023, prior to this he was practicing at a provincial firm choosing to specialise in tax, trusts and estates.
Ben specialises in advising on all matters relating to trusts, which includes acting for trustees with a diverse asset base including quoted investments, commercial and residential properties, partnerships, and private company shares.
He also advises clients on Inheritance tax planning using trusts, reviewing a client’s estate to develop a suitable gifting plan, ensuring all the relevant exemptions and reliefs are utilised. Advising on the creation or cessation of a Trust and providing sensible solutions for his clients.
Ben is adept at managing the compliance work for trusts including completion of inheritance tax returns, 60 day reporting upon sale of a residential property, holdover relief forms, trust registration service (TRS), automatic exchange of information (AEOI), as well as the annual accounts and tax returns.
His particular interest lies in ensuring his clients receive specialist tax planning and trust advice, to organise the family wealth in both a sensible and tax-efficient way. Ensuring the family have clarity around the preservation and destination of their wealth.
