Further information
Ben joined Kreston Reeves in February 2023, prior to this he was practicing at a provincial firm choosing to specialise in tax and trusts.
Ben advises clients on the formation, management, and administration of trusts, which includes Inheritance tax planning using trusts and dealing with intergenerational wealth transfer. Advising on the cessation of a trust, as well as providing flexible and sensible solutions for his clients.
Ben has a wide range of expertise, providing specialist advice on all matters relating to trusts, which includes acting for trustees with a diverse asset base including quoted investments, commercial and residential properties, land and woodlands, partnerships, and private company shares.
Ben is adept at managing the compliance work for trusts including completion of inheritance tax returns, 60 day reporting upon sale of a residential property, holdover relief forms, trust registration service (TRS), automatic exchange of information (AEOI), as well as the annual accounts and tax returns.
His particular interest lies in dealing and working through complex and difficult trust situations, or where a lay trustee has struggled to keep up with managing and administering the trust and a good old fashion administrative tidy up is required.
Personal interests
Ben has a young family which keeps him very busy.
