We’re pleased to announce that Andrew Tate, Partner and Head of Restructuring, has become President of R3, the trade association for insolvency practitioners.
Andrew’s year long term officially started on Friday 29 April 2016.
He has previously served for three years as chairman of R3’s Smaller Practices Group which supports the needs of smaller practice members. He also sits on R3’s Council.
Andrew moved to Kreston Reeves in 2011 to lead the restructuring team, having previously worked in BDO, Deloitte, and Baker Tilly. Andrew provides advice in a wide range of distress situations, providing strategic direction and restructuring advice to clients in addition to taking formal insolvency appointments, many of which include elements of investigation work.
Andrew said “I am delighted to be able to take the reins at R3 and engage in shaping the future of the profession.
As the insolvency profession’s representative, I particularly want to ensure that the recent wave of legislative changes enhance, not undermine, the UK’s well-regarded insolvency regime and allow insolvency practitioners to continue to get on with their role of saving businesses and jobs, returning money to creditors, and helping indebted individuals recover.
I look forward to tackling the core issues affecting the insolvency sector head on, and continuing to provide the high quality service and timely solutions to my clients as part of Kreston Reeves.”
