After being unable to run any in-person events the year before, teams from both Kreston Reeves LLP and Kreston Reeves Financial Planning Ltd, part of the Craven Street Wealth group were delighted to return to the East Kent Ploughing Match, held this year in Eastry.

The East Kent Ploughing Match is an annual event that has been running for nearly 80 years.

Attracting thousands of visitors each year, the event draws tough competition between modern, old and horse drawn ploughs, as well as being a fantastic outing and educational opportunity.

Although the weather differed from the Weald Of Kent Ploughing Match a few weeks earlier, our tent was well attended from clients from both the accountancy and financial planning practise, enjoying hospitality consisting of breakfast baguettes, hot drinks, a hearty stew and later in the afternoon, local ale’s.

Our Financial Planning Director, Tim Maakestad was “pleased to see clients face to face again after the events of last year”. “Both Ploughing Match events bring together the local farming communities in a way that has it’s traditions over many decades. Our faming heritage and the importance it has to our way of life are keenly demonstrated and celebrated by those attending. Wonderful days out to share with our clients!”

Our Financial Planning also entered two teams into the 2021 Canterbury RFC’s Golf Day at Faversham Golf Club.

One was headed up by Managing Director, David Hurst and another by Financial Planner, Guy Hilton.

David comments that “although the weather was not the best, a good time was had by all”.

Thank you to everyone who supported and attended either events. It is encouraging that many people are now wishing to return to physical in-person events and providing that practical precuations are taken, it is something that both Kreston Reeves Financial Planning and the Craven Street Wealth group hope to continue further next year.
