Kreston Reeves attains Cyber Essentials accreditation
Companies and organisations are increasingly at risk of cyber attack. We aim to take great care of the information we hold on behalf of our clients, so we are continually looking to evolve our cyber security and protect our systems from potential cyber attacks. We are therefore pleased to announce, following an assessment, that we have been accredited with ‘Cyber Essentials’.
Cyber Essentials is an independently verified self-assessment organisation, funded by the government. Cyber Essentials was founded to help organisations implement protection against common cyber attacks, by making sure fundamental technical security controls were in place.
Following an independently verified self-assessment, against five basic security controls, a qualified assessor verified the control information provided.
The stature of the Cyber Essentials standard continues to grow, and is now widely recognised as the minimum requirement for bidding for a variety of public sector contracts.
Chris Madden, IT and Operations Director, commented “We are delighted that our cyber security meets the Cyber Essentials standards.
The protection and control of data is essential to us and to the modern business. The importance of data security has now also been reinforced by the imminent GDPR and ePrivacy regulations..
Data breaches through cyber attacks are becoming increasingly common and anything we can do to reinforce our approach is essential. Clients can trust we have the systems in place to prevent cyber attacks.”
