Our alumni events

After a long two and a half years of waiting, we were finally able to host our second in-person alumni event in March 2022!

Our very first event was in October 2019 where we hosted a fantastic dinner with an inspirational speaker in London, inviting alumni from Kent, London, and Sussex. Our original plan was to have a second event in March 2020…we all know what happened then!

During the various lockdowns and social distancing periods we managed to have some virtual gatherings, including a great wine tasting session in 2021. However virtual meetings just don’t provide that same level of fun and spontaneity in conversations compared to when we meet in person.

For our second event we decided to focus on smaller regional gatherings with Sussex hosting theirs at South Lodge Hotel. Thank you to everyone who came, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves! It was so good to finally see people in person again and catch up with our alumni family without needing to wait for people to mute and unmute themselves! Finding out about people’s career changes they had made just before (and during) lockdowns, catching up on everyone’s families, and discussing the different ways everyone had coped with juggling work, working from home, family life, home schooling, and transitioning back into something that resembled pre-pandemic again.

The Kent and London regions will be organising their alumni events in the near future and we will send invites once dates and locations have been agreed.
