Member of the ICAEW’s Tax Investigation Specialists Group of the Tax Faculty. Lecturing on tax related matters to local business groupings.
Nick is married with four children, and three of his children represented Kent at, Rugby (Daughter), Cricket(Daughter) and Hockey(Son), and his other son is also a Chartered Accountant. Nick played hockey for Cliftonville Hockey Club for over 35 years, before becoming an appointed Hockey Umpire within Kent, and is currently working on writing a book about the history of the Club for its centenary in 2026.
Nick was Treasurer for the Masonic Province of East Kent for 8 years, with financial responsibility for 10,000 members, and holds Grand Lodge Rank. He has been the Intendant-General for Kent in the Masonic Order of the Red Cross of Constantine since 2011, and has written a book about the history of the Order in Kent since 1865.
Nick has been working on the Alder family tree and has got back to 1606, and has managed to track down relations across the world, and organised visits between different branches of the family.
When he gets a chance he enjoys hill walking, especially in The Lake District.
