You in Two: Meet Harry Donaldson

Our people make our firm. Meet the faces behind Kreston Reeves in our video series ‘You in Two’! In just two minutes, you can get to know a bit more about the people delivering the wide range of accounting, business and wealth services we provide.

In episode eighteen, we spotlight Accounts Assistant Manager Harry Donaldson who is based in our Chichester office! In this episode, Harry shares what he loves most about his role: helping clients grow their businesses, balancing compliance with advisory work, and building his confidence along the way. He also dishes on his promotion, his unique food adventures (yes, he tried snails), karaoke favourites, and even the superpower he’d pick for a day.

Q: Introduce yourself!

A: I’m Harry, I work in the accounts and outsourcing team, and I’m based in our Chichester office.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about working at Kreston Reeves?

A: My favourite thing about working at Kreston Reeves is the people. I love the team I’m in.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?

A: So my typical day varies which is what I love. Some days, you’re doing compliance, so that’s your accounts, tax returns, and then on other days, you’re getting to do advisory piece of work.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?

A: The thing I enjoy most about my role is speaking to clients, and then assisting them with developing and growing their businesses.

Q: What skill have you developed most during your time here?

A: The skill I’ve developed most is my confidence and presenting skills.

Q: What advice would you give to someone starting out in accountancy?

A: The advice I’d give someone starting out is take an interest in the client. If you can understand what their business is, you’ll be able to become a much better accountant.

Q: Any standout memories during your time working here?

A: My standout moment from the last four years is getting my promotion. That was a really good achievement.

A: “Million Dollar Bill” by Whitney Houston, which is also my go-to karaoke song.

Q: Weirdest food you ever tried – and did you like it?

A: The weirdest food I’ve ever tried is snails. And no, I really did not like it.

Q: If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: I’d pick pizza. The reason for that is that you can vary, so you can have deep dish, thin crust, and all the different toppings.

Q: If you could master one skill, what would it be?

A: If I could master one skill, it would be painting.

Q: Dream holiday destination?

A: I would love to go to Africa and do a safari, and see all the big animals over there.

Q: If you could have a superpower for 24 hours, what would it be?

A: If I had a superpower for 24 hours, it’d probably be flight, so I could fly around the world.
