Further information
Sean joined Kreston Reeves in 2006, training and qualifying with the firm and is now an Audit Manager within the Corporate Department. He is recognised as one of the firm’s not for profit experts, able to advise and assist on most matters across the sector. His client base includes charities, academies and private schools, as well as a number of large limited companies with multi-million pound turnovers.
Sean has developed a profound knowledge of accounting software and its supporting systems from both preparing financial statements and auditing client systems in order to identify weaknesses and inefficiencies, helping clients to develop a best practice, tailored to them.
In order to perform this role and maintain his knowledge Sean regularly attends relevant courses and seminars. As well as attending seminars Sean also speaks at seminars that are put on by Kreston Reeves – most recently being a presentation on the new charity SORPs.
As a specialist in the charity department at Kreston Reeves, Sean is also involved in the advancement of this department, which includes writing regular charity articles for both our newsletters and our website. He is also actively involved in our social media campaign with a growing following on his corporate Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.
Personal interests
Sean is a keen runner, competing throughout the year for his local Athletics Club and has also recently started throwing javelin for the club too. When he’s not competing at the weekend he is often Run Director at the local Parkrun, directing the event for over 400 runners.
Sean is involved in the charitable efforts within Kreston Reeves and has helped to organise, and participated in, a number of fundraising events for our chosen charities. This has included running marathons, cycling 100 miles, competing in Tough Mudder, skydiving and organising a number of fundraising quizzes.
