Nigel qualified with the firm in 1980 having been inspired by the Smirnoff poster popular at the time and moved to the Canterbury office in 1981. The fact that he has remained with the firm is, he says, testament to the ethos that has underpinned the firm throughout its progress over this period.
Nigel is senior tax manager in the Canterbury tax team and is involved in the firm’s tax newsletter as well as the firm’s tax software and tax technical matters. He frequently acts as a consultant to his non-tax specialist colleagues on personal taxation issues particularly where these interact with business related tax considerations. He has a particular interest in capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
Thinking about getting fit so his family will stop nagging him - and photography, badly, not helped by being red/green colour blind (don’t worry, he can see traffic lights!).
